Gospel Concert for CanTeen

Members of the Prohibition Big Band will be providing a nine piece backing group for a gospel concert to be held on Wednesday 20 July at the TelstraClear Event Centre in support of CanTeen to raise funds to aid teenagers who are living with cancer.

The band will be backing a dozen or so fantastic Auckland gospel soloists including Rosita Vai, Victor Hawkins-Sulfa, Saia Folau, Sara Jane and Grace Ikenasio (winner of the Phillip Fuemana Award – Most Promising Artist, at the Pacific Music Awards 2011), as well as a large gospel choir drawn from some of the leading Auckland gospel and church choirs.

This event has been organised to enable the community to gather through fellowship and music for a great cause and to allow the many CanTeen teenagers to experience a positive fun-filled night of good music and meet some of their musical idols.

Listen to an audio clip of Saia Folau singing When We All Get Together for a radio program promoting the concert.
